Skin Cancer Removal

Common treatment for skin cancer is surgery performed in the office using local anesthetic (numbing medicine). The treatment depends on the type and size of the cancer, but typically basal cell, melanomas and squamous skin cancers can be removed.

In the case of a large basal cell carcinomas, melanomas or squamous cell carcinomas, to heal the area, it may require special procedures. Sometimes a skin graft or rotational skin flaps are necessary. These procedures will take place in the Surgery Center of Charleston.
