A thigh lift improves the contours of the thighs and may be performed in combination with liposuction and other body lifts.
A thigh lift reshapes the thighs by reducing excess skin and fat, resulting in better shaping of the thighs and lower body. If fitness and weight loss efforts have not achieved your goals for a body that is firmer, more youthful-looking and more proportionate to your overall body image, a surgical thigh lift may be right for you.
Is a thigh lift right for me?
Candidates for thigh lift are:
- People who maintain a steady weight
- Previous weight loss which left excess skin
- Individuals with extra soft tissue around the inner or medial thigh region and/or outer thigh
- Healthy individuals who do not have any medical conditions that could hinder healing or increase risk of surgery
Recovery from thigh lift: Most people are out of work for 1-2 weeks and are placed on lifting and exercise restrictions for 6 weeks. You will be placed in an abdominal binder and you will most likely have a very simple drain in place for approximately 3-7 days. A compression garment will need to be worn for 5-6 weeks after the drain is removed.
